After much consultation and revision of plans, the University of the West of England Islamic Society is honoured to present the new prayer room project, where major improvements and changes will be made to the existing prayer room.
These are the first renovations in 17 years and are due solely to the grace of Allah, most high then to the efforts of students and lecturers and the excellent support of the UWE senior staff.
The (almost £25,000) prayer room project plans consist of the following changes and improvements:
-A brand new prayer room for the sisters, replacing the opposite office.
-An enlargement of the Brothers prayer room to include the contemporary sisters prayer room.
-A private Wudoo' (ablution) facility for the sisters, as part of a brand new disabled toilet with a direct entrance from the room.
-A renovation of the male toilet facility to include a large Wudoo' area.
-Brand new carpets, ceilings, lighting and decoration for the whole 3e41 area!

This is a great great blessing from Allah and a turning point for us! The University will be covering a large percentage of the costs, but we are required to gather an additional 9000 pounds (or so). But, they have told us that if we are successful in collecting 4000 pounds, then this will give us a stronger case in order for them to cover the rest.
I am sure that we can do it! We have brothers and sisters who are constantly waiting for the next opportunity to draw closer to Allah via their aiding of Islam and the Muslims. Imagine, from the day you donate onwards, every wudhoo’ (ablution) made by a brother or sister, an exact copy of their reward is automatically credited to your account of deeds!! Subhan’Allah, so you could be sleeping, eating, studying, exercising or even day dreaming (!) whilst your reward-o-meter with Allah is ticking away and your deeds pile up! Why? Because someone is making wudthoo’ with the facilities which you supported with your wealth…
What is even more amazing is that this continues even after your death! So, you are in your grave, you can not put forward any more worship, but to your amazement, your reward continues to pile and pile as if you are engaging in worship! Why? For the same reason I mentioned above: Your charity which the Muslims are still benefiting from.
So brothers and sisters, I ask you to dig deep into your hearts and then into your pockets and give for the sake of Allah whilst knowing (with full certainty) that you are trading with Allah and those who trade with Allah always profit!
Know my brothers and sisters that your true wealth isn’t that which you hold and accumulate but rather, it is that which you spend for the sake of Allah. This is the wealth which you truly possess! For when you and I pass away, this wealth which we have been amassing will be split between our inheritors and not only that, when we are lowered underground – into our graves – we can’t take any of it with us. Even that gold filling you have, it shall be pulled out and divided between your successors… However, it is the wealth which you spend today for Allah which truly remains with you forever because Allah then turns this charity into everlasting deeds which will accompany you and sit besides you in your very grave to keep you company.
We have set up a special Barclays account to receive your donations for this campaign.

"Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah, and perform As-Salat, and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, they hope for a (sure) trade-gain that will never perish.
That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense)."
